Habitat Coffee @ Upper Thomson Road

Habitat Coffee Bistro caught my attention on Instagram because I love coffee and free pour art aka coffee art.  There were just so many gorgeous and beautiful coffee art and the coffee are in these colourful cups and saucers.  As I am meeting a friend who stays in Potong Pasir, so I suggested checking out the café along Upper Thomson Road.  And the first one we checked-in was Habitat.

My order is The Big Ben, which is the equivalent of a big breakfast.  I love the huge chicken cheese sausage, the juicy grilled tomatoes and the potato pancake.

My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict which is poached eggs with honey baked ham on sun dried tomato bread. I thought the Eggs Benedict rather ordinary and lacking in character.  The eggs were not poached to a nice shape (I like those that are shaped like a tear) and appears too dry.  These eggs benedict was lacking in character in my opinion.

Habitat served their coffee with Lotus caramelised biscuit which incidentally is also my favourite biscuit.  The biscuit is actually quite costly, so it is really nice to have them together with the coffee.  I am also very drawn to the fact that they produce good coffee art here.  This is the café that gave me my very first swan art!

One of my favourite Instagram coffee picture which currently has 78 likes.   Although it is not the most well-liked coffee picture, but I like the contrast of the colours which creates a plain and simple look.  Which is what the café is about.

In my most recent visit to the café, it looks a little weary and less cheery, but is still a good place for some coffee.  The Upper Thomson area has several cafes and I have been to several of them.  Check back my blog as I will be writing more of them.
