McD Unwrap the Fun Event Grilled Chicken McWrap

McDonald’s will be launching a healthier menu from 14 August 2014 – the Grilled Chicken McWrap and Spicy Chicken McWrap.  I was invited as a guest by blogger friend Hazel @ Hazel Diary to attend an introductory launch event hosted by McDonald’s at Bishan Park McDonald’s.  Other than the McWrap, McDonald’s will also be introducing a new Garden Side Salad as well as Delight 500: many options of below 500 calories meals that are tasty and satisfying everyday.

McD Bishan Park

I love visiting the park and was happy as a kid when I headed to the McDonald’s Bishan Park for the event.  It feels different when being in a McDonald’s that is not in a shopping mall or below some HDB estate.  It feel so surreal being surrounded by a more leisurely lifestyle, tall trees and water landscape pictures.  There are people bring their pets out for a stroll, as well as many people breaking out a sweat brisk walking, jogging and running.  Seeing people engaging in physical activities also makes me of want to be engaged in a healthy lifestyle.  And at McDonald’s you can now start with the Delight 500 meals that are less than 500 in calories.  The new McWrap are full of veggies goodness that will kick start your healthy lifestyle.

The McWrap uses wholegrain tortilla, and wrapped with green leafy lettuce and shredded red and white cabbage, sliced tomatoes and McDonald’s special chargrilled sauce or creamy mayonnaise. Grilled chicken with no chicken skin (Grilled Chicken McWrap) or crispy chicken (Spicy Chicken McWap) is then added.  It is then placed in a specially designed packaging that is convenient for consumption and good for takeaway.
