Lots Gourmet Stop @ Changi Garden

On a hot afternoon after lunch at a nearby cafe, we drove past Lots Gourmet Stop at Changi Garden and decided to stop by for a drink.  Changi Garden is located in quite a ulu-fied place if you asked me.  Except for residence, I can’t really think of other patrons who may visit.  A quick check on Google reveals that the food is good and so is their service.  That’s really a plus isn’t it?

The shophouse is quite unique and it opens up another small area with few tables on the second level which is more air-conditioned.  If you are seated near the glass panes you can look down at the other diners below.  But girls wearing skirt not advisable to sit up there!  The small little space is good for a small intimate gathering or party.

Lovely decorations around the restaurant.  I reckon the owner must be young and upwardly trendy.  Gives a nice touch to the restaurant cafe.

Exclusively Gryphon tea.  My friend had a Ice-Tea ($4.50) with Lychee and Passion Fruit which he liked it.

The Ice Chocolate ($7) looks value for money, however my friend didn’t quite like especially since the chocolate ice-cream is so-so and quite strangely, she can actually bite into sugar as it was not stired properly.

My latte ($4.50) was ok.  Other than the fact that the coffee tasted a little bitter than I would have liked, but otherwise the milk was ok and froth well to a velvety finish and foamy top.  It comes with a wafer biscuit which is also unique, giving it a special touch.

Nice to find this quaint little place and also quiet and comfortable.  Their menu looks comprehensive enough and also value for money.  Wondering how their weekday crowd is like.  Don’t think I would mind to come back to this place and try out their menu.
