Food Junction at Bugis Junction has recently just have a revamped to boast a clean-cut look and claiming a more youthful and aesthetically comforting environment.  Appreciate art in the food court as it boast an Art Wall where collection of art piece will be showcased with a new theme every three months.  Net proceeds of the sale of these painting will go to The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and The Straits Time School Pocket Money Fund.

Food Junction Bugis Junction Bah Chor Mee

One of the stall at the food junction is the famous Capitol Puay Heng Minced Meat Noodles.  These days, the food court attract famous and popular store in a bid to attract more crowd to the food court, and ensuring customers with quality meals.  This Minced Meat Noodles, or more affectionately known as Ba Chor Mee is one of the nostalgic brand.  I love the variety of fresh ingredients used in the Ba Chor Mee that makes a very tasty and complete meal for lunch or dinner.

Food Junction Bugis Junction Blissful Soup

For a healthy option, patrons can also opt for double boiled soup.  Above soup is a special creation known as Blissful.  This soup is thick and rich with flavourful taste of chicken, wolf berries and collagen-rich like from the white fungus used.  This soup will definitely be popular with the ladies!

Food Junction Bugis Junction Fried Hokkien Mee

Helmed by he same owner of the soup stall is the friendly and cheerful owner Simon, the fried hokkien prawn mee is one of his signature dishes.   You can indulge in this tasty fried hokkien mee that is served on opeh leave, the traditional way in which the fried hokkien mee is wrapped to lend a woody flavour.  The hokkien mee is the thick and wet type that is bountiful with the taste of the broth it uses.  Add the chilli for that extra oomph!

Food Junction Bugis Junction Barbeque Chicken Wing

The BBQ Chicken Wing is also a perennial favourite amongst the patrons and especially popular with those with kids in toll.  The chicken wing are barbequed to a perfect crisp to the exterior yet maintain the meat juicy and succulent.  Squeeze some lime and dip in the chilli and the chicken wings makes a perfect snack or addition supplement for your meal.

Food Junction Bugis Junction Beef Noodles

Another popular nostalgic brand is the Odeon Beef Noodles.  Most of the bloggers that attended the same tasting as me agreed that the Beef Noodles is the best amongst all the dishes.  The reason really is the gooey and sticky gravy used in the beef noodles.  Add some chill, cincaluk (fermented shrimp paste) and a dash of lime juice gives an added dimension to the dish.

Food Junction Bugis Junction Japanese Bento

Other than the local delights, one can also expect other cuisine to be available such as the Japanese bento set and even Korean dishes.

Food Junction Bugis Junction Ayam Penyet

Another of my favourite is the Ayam Penyet.  This is a Malay style fried chicken that is marinated with spices and deep fried to crispy exterior.  Although we were served the breast meat but it was so tender and easily pulled with the cutlery that within minutes the whole chicken is gone. Another thing I love about this dish is the chilli that is hot and spicy without burning your tongue or needing you to down glasses of ice-cold water.  Definitely coming back for more.

Food Junction Bugis Junction YogurBerry

Within the premise of the Food Junction at Bugis Junction, be surprised by YogurBerry, a new Korea brand yogurt that arrived with great fanfare in Singapore.  One tasting and I am craving for more of this healthier option dessert.  Stay tune as I will do a full cover for YogurBerry very soon!

Thank you Li Qin of Brand Cellar for the invitation and other Brand Cellar friends for hosting the tasting session.
