Mid Autumn Display at GBBToday is the Mid Autumn Festival (中秋节).  I would like to wish all my readers a happy mid autumn festival.  There are many folklores that are associated with this festival, the most popular one being the tale of Chang’er ascend to the moon.  Another is the popular legend when the Han Chinese hid messages in the mooncakes to pass messages during the uprising of the Mongols.

From the meteorological perspetive, the moon is the roundest and also shines the brightest on this day.  So remember to check out the moon tonight.  Wisper your wishes and you may have your wishes come true.

Also do check back my blog, I will be covering the Mid-Autumn Display at Gardens by the Bay, so stay tuned.
