Majestic Restaurant Mooncake Box

I was happy to receive the mooncakes from Majestic Restaurant.  I reckon it is because it felt so festive, the Chinese New Year kind, because of its packaging.  I can’t emphasize enough in my blog how the packaging is just as important as the taste of the mooncakes.  The Majestic Restaurant mooncake really stood out from the rest with studded crystals on its box adding some elegance to it.  The box feels solid in your hands, so you know there will be good stuff in there!

The classic baked skin is surely one of my favourite, and it usually doesn’t go wrong.  If you like yolk in your mooncake, be sure to get the double yolk so that when you cut it, the yolk will be more evenly distributed in the mooncake.  Apparently Majestic Restaurants have many loyal fans which never fails to order mooncakes during the mid-autumn festive season.  That really goes to show their quality of their mooncake is from year to year.

Apparently Majestic Hotel has  a red-wine flavoured white lotus paste with the snowskin infused with Kwai Feh lychee liqueur.  That certainly sound quite unique.  I am already salivating just at the thought of that.  If you have an opprtunity to try that, do let me know how it taste.  Maybe I should buy some of those next year.
