Awfully Chocolate Afternoon Tea Individual Set??

Awfully Chocolate recently launched their first afternoon tea set only at the branch at Greenwich V and Gurkhason is super delighted to be invited to their first ever afternoon tea party at Greenwich V.

Quite frankly speaking, unless you are staying along the north east corridor, it is quite unlikely you will know of Greenwich V Mall.  Greenwich V is located along Seletar Road, amongst private residential housing.  The building currently sits on where the old Seletar Wet Market used to be.  As it is amongst private residential, hence the location is very idyllic and away from the buzz from the suburbs and city.  It is very appropriate that Awfully Chocolate launch their afternoon tea set here because the location is just perfect to have one.  Now those staying in the North or North-East can just head to Awfully Chocolate to have the afternoon tea instead of at posh hotels.  No need to be all dressed up, just be your casual self.

Awfully Chocolate Afternoon Tea CappucinoCappuccino

I started off ordering a cappuccino.  On hindsight, it was a wrong choice.  Don’t get me wrong, the cappuccino was good, but I really should have tea (since it is afternoon tea ya?) or perhaps I should have ordered a chocolatey drink since I am at Awfully Chocolate.  But Gurkhason is not a big fan of chocolate so it just didn’t occur when I ordered.

Awfully Chocolate Afternoon Tea SconesCranberry Scones

You would wonder how on earth can Awfully Chocolate have afternoon tea when they don’t have any savory treats?  Of course, for the purpose of this afternoon tea creation, Awfully Chocolate has painstakingly put up a show of savory treats to pair with their existing sweets.

First up, we have the cranberry scone which was baked nicely and accompanied with whipped cream, strawberry jam and caramel.  I never had scones with caramel before but I found it to be delightful.  My friend who joined me felt the same way too.  The two of us mopped up the generous serving of caramel given to us.  How sinful.

After the scone, we were presented with the afternoon tea set consists of several sweet and savoury treats in a 3-tier high tea stand.  The ; savory sits below  while the sweets stuff, which includes Awfully Chocolate signature desserts; superstacked chocolate cake, tiramisu and creme brulee; towers above it.

The first at Awfully Chocolate at the attempt of making savory stuff.  Although this is not their expertise, but clearly they managed to pull it off well with the delicious sandwiches and tartlets.  The cream cheese salmon was quite a highlight in the savory department and the cheesy meat tartlets is quite noteworthy.  Who says a sweet/dessert store can’t serve good savory treats?

Lovely petite size Creme Brulee with the high tea set.  This is not my first time having the creme brulee but it still gives me a sensational feeling everytime I have it.  If not for a dinner later, I would have ordered another one.  The frozen lychee with chocolate truffles is another interesting highlight.  It is served with the warm chocolate on a cup.  But I prefer to have it in on its own because it taste so refreshing.  Gurkhason was good to let his friend have his share, otherwise I can have 10 sticks of those!

Awfully Chocolate Afternoon Tea Set

The delightful afternoon tea set includes your choice of coffee or artisanal tea and selection of sweet and savoury specials are available only at Awfully Chocolate at Greenwich V.  I can’t emphasize this enough because Gurkhason don’t want his readers to go to other Awfully Chocolate outlets and asking for this delightful afternoon tea set and only to be disappointed.  You can enjoy the afternoon tea set individually for $20 or for two persons at $36.

Awfully Chocolate Afternoon Tea Chocolate Ice Cream

Polish it off with decadent chocolate ice-cream from Awfully Chocolate.  Remember that Gurkhason is not a big fan of chocolate but I was completely in awe when I tried this chocolate ice-cream.  This chocolate ice-cream is very rich and full of chocolate goodness.  It does taste too sweet or milky.  Guess what, I am so going to have this chocolate ice-cream when I pass by another Awfully Chocolate outlet.

Awfully Chocolate Greenwich V Indoor Seating

The white-washed indoors of the Awfully Chocolate with white chairs are a delight to your senses.  Just as the serene surrounding, the interior decor just calm and relax your mind.  Gurkhason wouldn’t mind going there again because the place is comfy and the staff at Greenwich V are so warm and friendly.  You hear them greet you with a “Welcome to Awfully Chocolate” with so much energy and zest, whatever weariness you came with will all be gone with their loud cheer!

Thank you Donna from Awfully Chocolate for inviting and hosting me.
