???????????????????????????????

Recently, was treated to lunch at Palio because the whole team met our goals for the first quarter of the year. Palio is an Italian restaurant that is located at Hotel Michael of Resort World Sentosa. This is my second visit here and Palio is supposed to be quite famous for its pizza.

???????????????????????????????Outdoor seating

The restaurant has a large capacity and no reservation is required. There are also outdoor sitting area which is quite cool because you can get to see alot of people flowing past.

???????????????????????????????Indoor Seats

We have a big group of us hence reservation is encouraged. You can see a sharp contrast between outdoors and indoors. The indoor is really warm and cosy while the outdoor is more relax and laid back. Which would you prefer? For me air conditioning is preferred.

???????????????????????????????Bread Basket (Complimentary)

At least two types of bread were served. I had the normal plain one and dipped with olive oil and vinaigrette. It tasted normal. But my friend had a walnut one which tasted much better. I was a tad disappointed that some bread were burnt. You don’t exactly serve burnt food even if it’s complimentary?

???????????????????????????????Linguine Carbonara ($24)

The pasta here are generally quite well done. My preference usually is tomato based or aglio olio. But when I had this cream based Carbonara I actually quite like it. It’s creamy and yet is not overwhelming in taste. The linguine is cooked al dente and has nice bacon bits.

???????????????????????????????Bucatini ($25)

This Bucatini is essentially a thicker version of the common spaghetti we had. I didn’t quite like the noodles as it’s too thick. However the base sauce is nice.

???????????????????????????????Spaghetti Mare ($26)

This actually is a seafood pasta loaded with lots of fresh seafood: scallops, prawns, and squid. The tomatoe based sauce also exudes a seafoody taste.

???????????????????????????????Margherita Pizza ($24)

Since Palio is well known for pizza, therefore what they serve better be good. The first pizza that was brought to us was this Margherita Pizza. It looks as simple as pizza itself but tasted good. I simply love the cheese. The pizza was served hot so the cheese were still melting. The crust is also thin and crisp. Quite an enjoyable pizza.

???????????????????????????????Michael Pizza ($26)

This is the final pizza we had and it better be good as the pizza is named after the hotel itself! What can I say except that again, I like how plentiful the cheese is. There are also a lot of seafood so the pizza is more value for money than the Margherita Pizza. I would go for this without any hesitation.

This is quite a nice place to dine if you are at Resort World. As the menu is still consider to be affordable, it will be a nice break from those other eateries in the town area. Hope I can come back soon.
